06.19Krusell Touch Screen Pointer Review
If you’ve got a PPC or SmartPhone, chances are you’ve got a stylus with it to make things easier to navigate and use your phone. Sure you can use your finger for many things, but there are times when you have to use a stylus as a finger just isn’t accurate enough…
Our friends at Krusell have sent me over a different kind of Stylus, very different actually, they call it the Touch Screen Pointer. It’s essentially a phone strap, but at the end of it is a three sided piece of plastic that can be used as your stylus if need be. It’s an interesting little gadget that can be useful at times for quick navigation of your phone instead of pulling the stylus out to use it.
It’s actually from a company called Triforce in Sweden, and the inventor is a rather cute chick named Camilla Giatzl. Not bad, she’s got looks and brains, what more could you ask for eh? The Triforce company does sell them directly to the public, and they sell them to other companies to be branded with their own logos, customized and sold by them, like we have from Krusell today for review.
So continue on to check it out…

The Product Itself:
There’s not much to this product really to look at, the packaging is basically a plastic bag with cardboard backing. ![]()
You can plainly see the product through the package and on the back is a little diagram of usage.
The Touch Screen Pointer in total is about 23cm or about 9 inches from the pointer to the end of the strap. The strap itself feels nice and heavy, well made so you won’t have to worry about it breaking and something happening to your phone.
The actual pointer is small with two sides of the triangle sticking out from the strap to be used, one side is plain while the other is branded with the Triforce name.
and the other end is just your standard fastening strap to attach to your phone, it is also nice and thick and should be able to support any size phone without fear of it breaking.
Installation, Testing and Usability:
There really is no installation involved unless you count attaching it to your phone which can be a pain actually, the hole on the Tilt is very small and it does require a bit of patience to get it attached, but that’s no fault of the Pointer though just the design of the phone itself.
Using the Touch Screen Pointer for basic things is fine, pretty much just like using a stylus, just smaller.. It is fairly easy to use after you use it a few times, the small size does take some getting accustomed to.
Using it for basic things is fine, but for long periods of time I found it wasn’t that comfortable, could be me though, but I decided to really try it out with some games and I found my hand cramping up after a several minutes of constant use. It could be me though, I use my hands for lots of typing and I work with tools a lot as well, so I’m sure after many years of typing and working I’ve got some form or carpal tunnel damage going on in there…
Really though the Touch Screen Pointer is a cool little product that works well and is very easy to use.
Summary:
The Touch Screen Pointer from Krusell can make a great replacement stylus for your phone, not just the AT&T Tilt, but any phone that uses a stylus for navigations.
The included phone strap does offer a bit of security as well so you won’t drop your phone, and having the Triforce readily and easily available is a lot easier than pulling out the stylus.
With the Triforce you’ll always have a stylus ready and you won’t have to worry about losing it either.
I would give it a 4 1/2 out of 5 score.
Pros:
-Doubles as phone strap
-Fairly easy to use once you get accustomed to it
-Seems well made
-Works well as stylus
-Won’t harm screen
Cons:
-A bit small, especially for large handsI would like to thank Krusell for the chance to review the Touch Screen Pointer.
